Katherine BourneKatherine earned her B.A. in Commerce, Accounting in 1985 from the University of Toronto. Katherine qualified as a CA (now CPA, CA) in 1990 after completing her articling at the Vancouver offices of Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC) and the Toronto offices of Thorne Riddell (now KPMG).
After six years at the large accounting firms, Katherine worked in private industry with a construction management company, followed by six years helping to launch a BC Winery. In 2004, Katherine joined the BCPIP team, providing accounting and tax services to private corporations and individuals. In 2010, Katherine took a temporary break from BCPIP to work at a downtown accounting firm and then back to Burrowing Owl Vineyards Ltd. where she resumed her role as CFO. In 2017, with newly acquired skills and knowledge, Katherine returned to BCPIP where she took a larger role in servicing clients and was a Partner from 2021 - 2024. Katherine continues to be very involved with BCPIP in a consulting capacity, but is also enjoying spending more time with her two grandchildren, and running and hiking the trails on Vancouver’s North Shore mountains with her husband Brent, and their yellow lab Kaeda. <<Back to Team |
